MEET THE MERMAID

My passion has always been centered around food and the way it brings people together. Growing up in Eugene, Oregon, the oldest of 5 with a single mom is where my roots in the kitchen began.  My mother raised all of us vegetarian and encouraged a healthy lifestyle.  

When I was 16, I started my baking career.  My sisters, my mom and I all worked a local artisanal bakery where my culinary skills blossomed.  I had the opportunity to become the pastry chef where I continued to work for 10 years during which I started my own wedding cake business.  The owner of the bakery related how important traveling to Europe aka Paris would be to hone my skills … so off I went!  This sparked even further my obsession with travel and regional cuisine.

I moved to Maui in 2007 where I met the love of my life and made this beautiful island my home.  I worked at some of West Maui’s world renowned restaurants where I cultivated my dream of Ariele’s Kitchen.  When 2020 hit I found myself cooking and sharing my food with friends and family.  Word spread throughout the community and that is where Ariele’s Kitchen was born. 

The world is my oyster for this mermaid with a whisk!!!
